Well it has come to it; I am in my last year of eligibility as a college bowler. Its sad and yet i'm ready for it to be over at the same time. I know this is something i will miss greatly but am getting ready to be done.
     I had a rough start to the season, I was not bowling very good during the summer and I was worried but I did like i do every year I push and push right towards the end and the few weeks I have when i get back to school before tryouts rolls around. Well that first weekend of tryouts came, I bowled great the first day and was leading after first 8 games. Second day came, and I fell on the approach due the them bein extremely extremely slick, everyone was havin issues i just was the one who managed to fall. I came right down on my right knee n it was swollen automatically. I pushed through it and continued to bowl and was in soo much pain. I should never have finished, i bowled aweful and still only managed to drop to third overall (impressive i think.)
     Needless to say, I did not bowl the next weekend of tryouts due to the fact I had fluid on my knee and it was swollen for almost two weeks and just had it wrapped up and went to our athletic training department and went through electric stimulous treatments and did not bowl for a whole month, until our first college tourni of the year. Coaches still placed me on "A" team because they felt I should not have been anywhere else and not my fault that i was injured. I bowled the first tourni and did well but was in excrusiating pain, took looots of meds that day and still continue to. I did not go see my orthepedic over x-mas break because at this point i know the doc is going to say i'm done. Something has to be seriously wrong at this point cuz the pain is not going away, this past weekend i experienced a lot of it again, its tough but i'm working through it to finish out my last year of eligibility at this point.
     I have had issues with this knee in past years, which is why I know there has got to me more wrong at this point in time, it scares me for sure but just tryin to go with it for right now. Bowling has not what I would have wanted it to be thus far this year, but i used to practice almost everyday and now I am down to practicing once mayb twice a week due to it hurts to much and i'd rather save the strain for the weekend tournaments. If i could be practicing more, i know things/ average would be much higher than it is.
     I did bowl very well this past weekend during the Hoinke Bearcat in Cincinnati, Ohio and bumped my average 4 pins to now a 187.7 in college bowling. Lookin to be around 27 in the country right now among college bowlers. Which I am pleased to make that jump right now.

     This post is very long right now and i have not posted in a very long time, but i hope that some will read and I hope to get on this site more often and update you a little more on how this season is coming along and how it is going to finish out. =)
